I&#8217;m starting to find painting to be relaxing in spite of my mistakes or accidents. As I was painting, I instantly thought of Bob Ross and his happy little trees. For Mr. Ross, there were no mistakes, just a chance to turn that accident into something new and exciting. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If God made us in his image, which is perfect, then we have a chance to take our happy little accidents and use them to serve. Wrong someone, apologize, and try to build something from there. Make a mistake, apologize and see what lesson God wants you to learn. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Today&#8217;s Questions: What mistake did you make that if you looked at it in a different light, could have been an opportunity for growth? How can you look at your happy little accidents in a new light? <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5>Scripture:<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><em><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/111\/pro.24.16\" class=\"verseLink\">Proverbs 24:16<\/a><\/strong> &#8211; For the righteous falls seven times and rises again, but the wicked stumble in times of calamity.<\/em><\/li><li><em><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/111\/jas.1.2-4\" class=\"verseLink\">James 1:2-4<\/a> <\/strong>&#8211; Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.<\/em><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5>Reflection<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Failing seven times and rising again. Sounds a lot like many mistakes that I have made in my life. I&#8217;m a firm believer that God will give you a lesson to learn and if you don&#8217;t learn it, he will give it to you again and again. Each time, it seems to get harder. But eventually, you will take your mistakes and turn them into something great. In Christ, we get to turn our mistakes into happy little accidents. To do that we need to acknowledge them, pray for forgiveness, receive the forgiveness, and grow. We do that through faith. In James, we see God knows we will mess up, and our brushes will black out the canvas but through Christ, they will be wiped clean as snow. That brush swipe is now a beautiful tree. Thank you, Bob&#8230;.I mean Jesus \ud83d\ude42 <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As we close, remember no one expects you to be perfect. God wants you to grow, mess up, learn and keep on growing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5>Prayer<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Lord Jesus, thank you for making our canvases clean when we mess up. Thank you for helping us see what can be instead of what is. Sometimes we focus on what is and can&#8217;t get beyond the mistakes and choices that led us to this life. Open our eyes, minds, and hearts to you. We pray that you let those happy little accidents be fodder for moving forward on your plan.
