We started with <a href=\"http:\/\/roberts-lieb.com\/faithbites\/2021\/06\/24\/june-24-pray-for-healing\/\">healing<\/a>, then <a href=\"http:\/\/roberts-lieb.com\/faithbites\/2021\/06\/25\/june-25-pray-for-new-opportunities\/\">new opportunitie<\/a>s, and today we go into understanding. In the past few days, I&#8217;ve shared my physical pain and the various life changes that friends are experiencing. Today I was unable to do a day long service project with my eldest because of the pain. Then I got to talk with friends who are embarking on new adventures. I am so happy for them, but also very very sad. I feel that they are leaving me when I know they are going on new adventures. Part of me is wondering if this is grief, part is saying that I shouldn&#8217;t feel this way, and the remaining part is just asking God for understanding. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Today&#8217;s Questions: What understanding are you seeking today? How does knowing why something is happening make it easier?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5>Scripture<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/111\/2ti.2.7\" class=\"verseLink\">2 Timothy 2:7<\/a> &#8211; Consider what I say, for the Lord will give you understanding in everything<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/111\/dan.1.20\" class=\"verseLink\">Daniel 1:20<\/a> &#8211; As for every matter of wisdom and understanding about which the king consulted them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and conjurers who were in all his realm.<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/111\/col.1.9\" class=\"verseLink\">Colossians 1:9<\/a>  &#8211; For this reason also, since the day we heard of it, we have not ceased to pray for you and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding,<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5>Reflection<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>We often say that God will answer prayers in his way, by his will, and by his timing. Sometimes we just wish we knew when, how, and what it would look like. This is the understanding that we seek. What the Bible tells us is that God will give us understanding in everything that we ask. We just need to ask it and <a href=\"http:\/\/roberts-lieb.com\/faithbites\/2021\/06\/23\/june-23-is-waiting-a-spectator-sport\/\">wait<\/a>. But as we know, waiting isn&#8217;t a spectator sport, we need to keep praying, loving, and serving. The key to it is we need to go to God for the answers, not look for them elsewhere. We see in Daniel that neither magicians nor conjures have the answers, only God. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As we close today, we may not have the understanding we seek right now. But, if we pray, seek God, he will give us the peace and comfort we need. Remember, that we aren&#8217;t in it alone. Others are praying for you for understanding as you are praying for them. We just need to follow Him and it will come.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prayer<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lord Jesus, so many of your people are in flux. And the people who aren&#8217;t in flux are feeling all the feels because their friends and loved ones are in flux. We collectively pray for understanding. Share your wisdom, let us see the path before us. We know your word is a lamp to my feet and light to my path. We won&#8217;t turn our back on your promises. Tonight we pray for comfort, love, peace, and understanding.
