So many pieces of the dream had me not measuring up. A friend was getting married and I was doing the ceremony. I hadn&#8217;t prepared the service and it was starting in one minute, I didn&#8217;t have my dress clothes, I hadn&#8217;t told people how I really felt about them, and the list goes on and on. No matter what was going on, I just didn&#8217;t measure up. I hadn&#8217;t done my homework, I hadn&#8217;t prepared, and I wasn&#8217;t adequate to fulfill my obligations. When I woke, I started thinking about why I felt that way. No matter that feeling of inadequacy, I know God is enough and I am enough for him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Today&#8217;s questions: What do you do when you are feeling inadequate? How do you lean on God for support when you feel this what? <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5>Scripture<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/111\/2co.3.5\" class=\"verseLink\">2 Corinthians 3:5<\/a> <em>&#8211; Not that we are sufficient in ourselves to claim anything as coming from us, but our sufficiency is from God,<\/em><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/111\/php.1.6\" class=\"verseLink\">Philippians 1:6<\/a><em> &#8211; And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.<\/em><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5>Reflection<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>When I look back at that dream, I was failing in all those things as I was trying to do them myself. I hadn&#8217;t asked God for help. I was failing and not enough because it was just me. We are God&#8217;s children and with him, we can accomplish all things. It&#8217;s not going to be easy, but we can do it. In our verses, we see that our sufficiency is from God. He has told us he started a good work in us and will bring it to competition. We need him along the way. Think about it this way. You higher a contract to build your house and it goes well. Then you think you can do it yourself and fire him then try to finish it. It probably won&#8217;t go well for you. This is the same way with God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As we close, remember no one can make you feel inadequate if you have God with you. He will hold you up, keep you strong, and help you succeed. <a href=\"http:\/\/roberts-lieb.com\/faithbites\/2019\/06\/04\/june-4-your-presence-is-enough\/\">You are enough<\/a>, you are adequate, and you are loved. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5>Prayer<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Father God, we pray for comfort. We ask you to take away these feelings of inadequacy and not measuring up. You told us you love us no matter what. You&#8217;ve shown us that we don&#8217;t have to measure up to you as you have chosen us. We ask you to help us remember that your Grace is enough and that we are enough for you. Let us know give into Satan who is trying to pull us away from you and tell us that we aren&#8217;t good enough. Thank you for all you do for us.
