A friend of mine commented on an early #faithbites about <a href=\"http:\/\/roberts-lieb.com\/faithbites\/2021\/03\/19\/march-19-i-apologize-a-lot\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">apologizing too much<\/a> and need to fit in but saying #TrustInHim. He is right. If we just trusted in God and followed Jesus&#8217;s command to love God and love our neighbors we would be right as rain. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For me, I have a hard time just letting go and fully trusting. Part of is it the need to be in control, another part is my need to quantify and understand everything, and a final part is a fear of being let down or rejected. And yes, the Bible tells me that won&#8217;t happen, but it is still hard to embody. Imagine how awesome life could be if we all trusted in Him. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Today&#8217;s Questions: How do you fully and soulfully trust in the Lord? What actionable steps can you take to just turn everything over to him?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5>Scripture<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><em><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/111\/psa.9.10\" class=\"verseLink\">Psalm 9:10<\/a><\/strong><\/em><em> &#8211; \u201cThose who know your name trust you because you have not abandoned any who seek you, Lord.<\/em><\/li><li><em><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/111\/mrk.5.36\" class=\"verseLink\">Mark 5:36<\/a><\/strong><\/em><em> &#8211; \u201cBut Jesus overheard their report and said to the synagogue leader, &#8216;Don\u2019t be afraid; just keep trusting.&#8217;\u201d<\/em><\/li><li><em><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/111\/jhn.14.1\" class=\"verseLink\">John 14:1<\/a><\/strong><\/em><em> &#8211; \u201cDon\u2019t be troubled. Trust in God. Trust also in me.\u201d<\/em><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5>Reflection<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Just keep trusting&#8221;. This simple phrase, reminds me of Finding Nemo. There is a seen when Dory and Marlin are in pitch black water and Marlin is afraid. Dory tells him to just keep swimming. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is what we need to do. No matter if we are afraid, worried, or feel a need to be in control, we just need to keep trusting our Lord. He tells us not to be troubled and he will never abandon us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As I said earlier, the hardest part is just doing it. While I don&#8217;t have the perfect solution, God tells me to just so it. So I&#8217;m going to start not worrying about one thing at a time. I can do what I can, then it over to God and let him do the rest. It&#8217;s not easy, but you ha e to start somewhere. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As we close, remember God is with you and will never abandon you. All you need to do is have faith and #TrustInHim.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5>Prayer<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Lord Jesus, thank you for never abandoning us and always being there no matter what. We pray for forgiveness when we try to do everything on our own and forget to trust in you. We know your word is true and you would never let us down. Help us to always trust. Fill us with a sense of peace and resolve when we turn things over to you. Thank you for putting people in our lives who help us understand and put into practice your words.
