Setting<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

I was walking with my youngest and the dog this morning and thinking about how we raise our children. Some raise with guidance, some with rules, some with compassion, and some with strictness. And yes, there are mixes and variations of these.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I was thinking about those who boast of their parenting skills. An example is when they say, “Well my child has never had soda”, or “My child is reading at three grade levels above their grade.” In some cases, this while it’s a fact it seems to be boasting of your parental prowess. A lot of it depend son the context of course. I’m sure you can think of times when you boasted about something to try to one-up someone else. And no, we are talking about sharing a sense of accomplishment. That’s different. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today’s questions: When you share love are you boasting about what you do for the other? If so, what can you to to change the conversation into sharing and helping rather than boasting?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
