It&#8217;s a great show. In this episode one firefight left his special needs child with another firefighter to take care of for the day. We&#8217;ll, there was a tsunami, and while the friend saved the kid the first time he lost the kid in the second wave. Long story short, the kid was ok and everyone lived. The episode ending with the dad dropping the kid off with his friend again to watch him. The friend said, how can you do this when I failed him. He said you saved him. Then said, I&#8217;ve Failed him so many times but love him enough to never give up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That is amazing love right there. I know I fail my kids every day and seek forgiveness from them. Failure is not the end, giving up is. God loves us that no matter how many times we screw up and fail, he keeps trying to help us be better. I hope I can always emulate that with my children. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Do you love someone so much that tho matte rhow much you fail or they fail you that you never give up?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5>Scripture<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><em><a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/111\/jer.8.4\" class=\"verseLink\">Jeremiah 8:4<\/a> &#8211; Jeremiah, say to the people, \u2018This is what the Lord says:\u201c\u2018When people fall down, don\u2019t they get up again? When they discover they\u2019re on the wrong road, don\u2019t they turn back. <\/em><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5>Reflection<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>It is ok to fail. We are not perfect. I am failing right now because of my temper.  The thing is, I ask for forgiveness. Today, I was in the floor with my daughter to get to her level to talk through our failures. She said I was a good daddy even though I feel crummy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Lord doesn&#8217;t say that failure wish bad or we are doomed by our failure. He tell us to get back up again, and go the right way. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We all fail but we can fail in love. When we fail, do we love enough to realize why we failed and try again? If the answer is yes, then we are asking for forgiveness and trying better. If the answer is no, then it may not be love that we have for the person. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I often feel that my failures are too much for my kids and I&#8217;m setting them up for a lifetime of therapy. I pray for their forgiveness and love them enough to never give up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Do you love enough to keep trying after failure. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5>Challenge<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Think about your interactions with loved ones. Have you ever failed them? Have you given up or do you keep on loving and trying better? Today&#8217;s challenge is to never give up. Admit your failures, ask for forgiveness, and keep going. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5>Prayer<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Lord Jesus, thank you for your example of forgiveness. Please forgive us as we fail often. We don&#8217;t mean to hurt the ones w elove but often we do. Let us keep working to be better and to love those in our lives with a love like yours.
