Setting<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

Happy Thanksgiving. We will keep this really short. No matter your circumstances, give thanks in all things. That’s it. No only if things are good or only if I get what I want. We are blessed beyond belief. We have a God who loved us enough to sacrifice his only son for us. Let’s do our best to share and give thanks for what we have. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Scripture<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

1 Thessalonians 5:18<\/a> – Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God\u2019s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reflection<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

We will have good days and bad. There will be times when our bellies are full and others when they are empty. Times when our cup runs over and when it is dry. If we give thanks in all things, we can appreciate the role God is playing in our life. If we only appreciate when things are good or only pray when things are bad, we are missing so much. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today was hard for me as my back was a mess, I didn’t sleep well, and I’m missing my family. My wife said I was being negative. She’s right to a point. I wasn’t as thankful for spending time with our immediate family, having a wonderful meal, and getting to play games. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s not always easy to see the right side and be thankful for all things. It is something we can work towards and truly see what God has in store for us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Challenge<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

Simple challenge: Be Thankful. No matter what you are going through be sincerely thankful. You will be shocked with how people respond and how God begins to work through you. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prayer<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

Father God, Thanksgiving 2020 is unlike any most of us have spent. Whole we are missing family, while we have one or more empty chairs at the table, let us be thankful for what we have. Let us see how you have worked in our life. We praise you and give you thanks in all circumstances for everything you have done. Keep us strong in the faith and thankful at all times.
