Setting<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

Today has been a very long and exhausting day. Not sure why just lots going on. I know it will be ok in the long run and my suffering is minuscule compared to many.
No matter how I’m feeling, I try to be faithful and do what is right. Today’s verse, thank you “verse of the day”,<\/a> really brings that message home. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Scripture<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

1 Peter 3:14<\/a> – But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed. \u201cDo not fear their threats ; do not be frightened.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reflection<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

From the beginning of time to now, those who do right and do in the name of God have been threatened and suffer. There are those who do evil in the name of God but this isn’t about them. God tells us that if we are doing right, we will be blessed and should not be frightened. Just the other day we talked about how we are told to fear everything<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

God tells us not only to not be frightened but that we will be blessed. The key to this is doing right. I’m not always sure what is right and I often mess up. I know how I feel when I do wrong. Then, thanks to Jesus, I am forgiven, and can try my best to do right.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So tonight, think about this. Life won’t be easy and we will suffer, but God has never left us, never foresaken us, and has always blessed us. Do not be frightened.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Challenge<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

What threats are you hearing? What suffering are you undergoing? Remain steadfast and know that God isn’t causing this, he isn’t making it happen to you, and will keep you safe. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prayer<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

Father God, your people are frightened and are suffering. Comfort us, protect us, and keep us safe. Remind us that throughout the suffering and hard times, you are with us and we are blessed. Let us put on your armor and be prepared for anything that Satan has for us. We love you Lord and pray all of these things in your name, Amen. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
