I got to spend it with people I normally don&#8217;t. With one person it was sharing our church and faith journeys with each other. With another, it was sharing a meal and just living life together. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is what we are meant to do. Spend time with each other and live life. While COVID has made it harder, it&#8217;s not impossible. We can increase our <a href=\"http:\/\/roberts-lieb.com\/faithbites\/2020\/07\/14\/july-14-faith-bubbling\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">social bubble<\/a> and make more efforts to be with others even if it&#8217;s through zoom. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Let&#8217;s take time to make sure social distancing doesn&#8217;t make us distant from one another. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5>Scripture<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><em><a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/111\/pro.13.20\" class=\"verseLink\">Proverbs 13:20<\/a> &#8211; Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm.<\/em><\/li><li><em><a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/111\/1co.15.33\" class=\"verseLink\">1 Corinthians 15:33<\/a> &#8211; Do not be misled: \u201cBad company corrupts good character.\u201d<\/em><\/li><li><em><a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/111\/pro.18.24\" class=\"verseLink\">Proverbs 18:24<\/a> &#8211; One who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.<\/em><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5>Reflection<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>These verses may seem to be negative or tell you what not to do. If we look at them from another perspective, they tell us how to live. Keep good company. Have reliable friends. Have friends who are wise. This is good advice no matter what. Sure, we need to spread the Gospel by reaching to those who may not be wise, but we need those friends who help to build us up and restore us for the hardships in life. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cherish those friends you have. Thank them for what they give to you. Be a good friend to them. Remember, God made us not to be alone but to live in community with each other.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I am so blessed with my faith and friendship families. The funniest thing is that through COVID, I am getting closer to so many of my friends and new friends. This is a blessing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5>Challenge<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Do you cherish you friends? Are you making friends who are wise and reliable? If so, thank them. If not, talk to God. See what he is saying to you about your friends. Remember, we are all sinners and good company helps us get closer to God. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5>Prayer<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Father God, thank you for my friends. Thank you for shared car rides and shared meals. Lord, you enrich my life with good company. Help us to be good company for everyone we are around. Let us chose our friends wisely and live according to your way. Thank you, Lord for this and all things you give us.
