People come to me to listen, offer advice, and just be there. I love to do that. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One thing I don&#8217;t love as much is being a mediator. When two people need or put me in the middle. It&#8217;s hard for me as there is no mediator handbook that works every time and it&#8217;s hard for me to balance both sides unemotionally. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sure, listening and helping I&#8217;m good at, mediating not as much, but I&#8217;m trying. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are lucky that we have the greatest mediator of all time in our corner: Jesus. He mediated our salvation and reunification with God which was no small feat. Are you taking advantage of his mediation skills?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5>Scripture<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/111\/1ti.2.5\" class=\"verseLink\">1 Timothy 2:5<\/a> &#8211; For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/111\/rom.8.35\" class=\"verseLink\">Romans 8:35<\/a> &#8211; Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died\u2014more than that, who was raised\u2014who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5>Reflection<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>We have one mediator, Jesus Christ. He is the one who died for us and was raised for us. None of us have the experience or the power that he has. So we shouldn&#8217;t try to mediate the things he does. We should leave him to that. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What we can do is try to advocate for others. Help them see Jesus and what he has done for us as mediator. It&#8217;s a job he specifically gave to us. Lets see how we can do that one first before trying to take on new jobs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You may ask, &#8220;What do I do when I&#8217;m asked to mediate?&#8221; The answer is listen with love, gentleness, and understanding. Let that lead and allow God to work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5>Challenge<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Turn over your challenges to Jesus. Let him mediate the solutions between you and God. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5>Prayer<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Father God, you sent your Son to die for us so we would be reunited with you. He is the one great mediator. Help us to try not to fill his shoes. Let us be people of action who listen, share His word, and work to help everyone.
