That is a program helping us to become disciples who can disciple others. It&#8217;s about people in the family not necessarily people in the doors of the church. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the topics was story telling. We all have a story to tell. Jesus was a master story teller. There are over 100 parables and 30 alone in the Gospels. When we tell the story of Jesus, do we talk about the crucifixion and forgiveness or do we talk about what he did? Asking for a drink of water from the Samaritan women? The veil tearing when he was crucified? Healing lepers?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When we only talk about Christ the Victor, we lose his impact on the stories of those who he interacts with. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When you share your story, do you only talk about your accomplishments or your path to get there?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5>Scripture<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><em><a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/111\/mat.13.11-3\" class=\"verseLink\">Matthew 13:11-3<\/a> &#8211; He replied, \u201cYou are permitted to understand the secrets of the Kingdom of Heaven, but others are not. To those who listen to my teaching, more understanding will be given, and they will have an abundance of knowledge. But for those who are not listening, even what little understanding they have will be taken away from them.  That is why I use these parables,For they look, but they don\u2019t really see. They hear, but they don\u2019t really listen or understand.<\/em><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5>Reflection<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>I could list links to all of the parables in the Bible and still not get the point across. Jesus uses stories to help people understand that which they don&#8217;t know. He puts it into words they can understand. When we talk about Jesus, we can use these parables. They are common occurrence that are relatable. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Yes, his victory over death and sin and his eternal forgiveness and gift of salvation should not be forgotten. We need to talk about covenant (what Jesus is doing for us) and kingdom (what Jesus did to make these changes).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We have a balance as well. Let&#8217;s not forget the actions that led to his magnificence. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5>Challenge<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>How are you sharing Jesus? Try sharing his actions and his stories then sharing why it&#8217;s important. Also share what he has done in your life and how it&#8217;s impacted you. This may change the conversation as you try to grow the family of God. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5>Prayer<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Father God, you have given your Son to reunite us with you. You have given him power to forgive sins. We thank you for that. Just as important is how he lived his life. Help us be more familiar with life and share that with others<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through sharing you and your Son, we can help grow the family. Lord, thank you for this and everything you do for us.
