It doesn&#8217;t matter if it&#8217;s walls or pictures or miniatures. It&#8217;s just not a gift I have. But I keep trying. Today, I tried to paint a part for my printer. I thought it would be easy but a kindergartener could do better. It makes me made. I wish I had the creative gifts like some do: singing, dancing, painting, drawing, wood working. I just don&#8217;t have them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It&#8217;s not that I want to be perfect. I think our society has started to lose what a hobby is. Now if you want to do anything for fun, it seems like you have to try to make money on it. As soon as I got my 3D printer, people told me to sell stuff. Trust me, I&#8217;m not that good. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I guess a long story short. God has given us talents that we are good at and we should use them. We can also grow in things we don&#8217;t know. We may not have a natural talent but if it&#8217;s a fun thing to do and doesn&#8217;t hurt us, why not try. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5>Scripture<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/111\/1co.12.4-6\" class=\"verseLink\">1 Corinthians 12:4-6<\/a> &#8211; Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; and there are varieties of service, but the same Lord; and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who empowers them all in everyone.<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/111\/1co.10.31\" class=\"verseLink\">1 Corinthians 10:31<\/a> &#8211; So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5>Reflection<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Having fun is ok. Doing new things even if you aren&#8217;t good at them is ok. We don&#8217;t need to be experts to have a joint. As we see in <a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/111\/1co.12.4-6,\" class=\"verseLink\">1 Corinthians 12:4-6,<\/a> we all have God given talents. We need to use those as much as we can. We also see in <a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/111\/1co.10.31,\" class=\"verseLink\">1 Corinthians 10:31,<\/a> that no matter what you do, do it for the Glory of God. Have fun, learn a new hobby. Paint even if you stink at it. It&#8217;s ok as long as you are trying to honor God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My 3D printing hobby isn&#8217;t going to make me any money. The gifts I make for people are far from perfect. I will get better at it over time, but the goal is to share love with others and remind them they are loved. It doesn&#8217;t have to nor will it be perfect. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> So, give yourself a break. Mess up the painting. Just have fun with it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5>Challenge<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Do one thing that you are bad at or don&#8217;t know how to do, just to do it. Share it with someone. Don&#8217;t worry when it&#8217;s not perfect. You can get better.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5>Prayer<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Father God, thank you for our many talents. You make us all unique. While some can paint, others cannot. Remind us that we don&#8217;t have to be perfect to have fun trying new things. Let us enjoy learning, trying, failing, and getting better. Give us patience and stamina to do these new things. Remind us that no matter what we do, we should always strive to support and glorify you.
