My best friend and daughter love the musical “Hamilton<\/a>“. I haven’t seen it yet but they told me about a character named Peggy. Basically, in the song they say “Angelica!\u00a0Eliza!\u00a0And Peggy!”. Peggy is such a non-character that she doesn’t show up in the second act. She is the third wheel and seen as not important. In terms of the show, she is a throwaway character. (As a note, my best friend sees himself as the “And Peggy” in many situations and is ok as he sees that his role is floating between groups and helping them out)<\/p>\n

Many of us feel that we are the third wheel. Our married friends and us. The people in power and us. The cool kids and us. Those with money and us. It makes us feel that we are there but not important. We aren’t part of the in-crowd.\u00a0<\/p>\n

With God, there is no “And Peggy” or “And You”. You are the prized child of God not made to be a throwaway person. God made you for a specific mission and purpose. You don’t need to be President of the United States to be important to God.\u00a0<\/p>\n
