I&#8217;m wondering if I will remember this night in a few months or years. The things we did during the day, the food we ate, the arguments we had, and the fun we shared. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I was looking at the calendar and we are almost four weeks into June and three months into the Pandemic. Where did the time go? Have I missed opportunities because I wasn&#8217;t &#8220;there&#8221;. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lately, with everything going on, I seems like I&#8217;m going through the motions of life without any feeling. In other words, being here, but not being here. Have any of you had that experience?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are to trust in the Lord with all our heart, all our mind, and all our soul. How do we do that when we don&#8217;t feel like we are present in the day to day?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5>Scripture<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><em><a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/111\/mat.6.34\" class=\"verseLink\">Matthew 6:34<\/a> &#8211; \u201cTherefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.<\/em><\/li><li><em><a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/111\/eph.5.15-16\" class=\"verseLink\">Ephesians 5:15-16<\/a> &#8211; Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil.<\/em><\/li><li><em><a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/111\/jas.4.14\" class=\"verseLink\">James 4:14<\/a> &#8211; Yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes<\/em><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5>Reflection<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Normally when I look for scripture, I find verses that are on topic and uplifting. At first glance, these are sad verses seeming to mean that there is anxiety today and tomorrow, that we are mists and will disappear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What these verses are telling us in context, is that Jesus is there for us and while our time on this earth is short, we have eternal life on Him. We shouldn&#8217;t spend our time worrying about things outside of our control. We should make as much of the time we have as we can. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Let us try to be present and experience life with full feeling. When we can&#8217;t, we can rest assured the Lord is will us helping us through the day. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I may not remember this day, except from reading this #faithbite down the road, but I know that it has purpose and builds upon my #faithjourney. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5>Challenge<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Are you feeling that the days are going by and you aren&#8217;t present? Try to make a small change. Write a diary, a blog, or draw. Have something to remind you that you are making progress in life and understanding your faith. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5>Prayer<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Lord Jesus, help us to feel your presence in our daily lives. Be with us as we navigate life and try to make every day count. It&#8217;s hard to see our progress and to try and be present. We ask that you guide us and strengthen us every day.
