It&#8217;s been a long 10 weeks and getting extra help is amazing. At the same time, it&#8217;s hard to accept help. From helping with the kids, to helping clean, to getting me a drink, it is hard to let someone else do it. Call it being a control freak or just used to doing everything. A helping hand should be held not pushed away. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>God helped us with Jesus. Jesus sent the Holy Spirit as a helper. Then Jesus sent his disciples our and all of us are sent to be a helping hand for one another. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Can you accept a helping hand?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5>Scripture<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><em><a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/111\/heb.13.16\" class=\"verseLink\">Hebrews 13:16<\/a> &#8211; Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God.<\/em><\/li><li><em><a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/111\/jas.1.5\" class=\"verseLink\">James 1:5<\/a> &#8211; If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking.<\/em><\/li><li><em><a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/111\/mat.7.7\" class=\"verseLink\">Matthew 7:7<\/a> &#8211; Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.<\/em><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5>Reflection<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>The Lord provides. We pray and ask for things but often when it comes, it doesn&#8217;t look like what we asked for. When that happens, sometimes we rebuke or look for other ways to fulfill that prayer. We need to have the vision to realize that God has provided a helping hand, we just need to reach out and grab it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is hard to know that we can&#8217;t do it on our own. It&#8217;s harder to ask for the help. It&#8217;s hardest yet to accept it and let it go. Today, on several occasions, I had to tell my kids to ask &#8220;Uncle Ducky&#8221;, as he was in charge. Sure, I could have done it, but he was here for that purpose. He was the hand that God provided. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Make sure to accept the help that God provides.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5>Challenge<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Think of one thing you want or need. Ask for help in doing or getting it. When you do, take it, and say thank you. Then you can help others. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5>Prayer<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Lord, thank you for sending my best friend to help. Thank you for all the helping hands you have provided for us. It is hard for us to admit we can&#8217;t do it on our own. Give us the strength and courage to ask for help and then accept it. It isn&#8217;t a sign of weakness but of strength when we realize we need You and those you put in our lives. We love you and give you all the glory.
