Setting<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

My first job was as a lifeguard. I love that job. I felt responsible for those swimmers in my pool. When I jumped in and saved someone, I felt, at least for that moment, I had saved a life. In most cases, they would have been ok without me. When I left the pool, I still had my guard hat on and felt responsible even though I wasn’t. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

With all of the unrest we have, I have been thinking a lot about our first responders. There job is to be a lifeguard. They protect us, stabilize us, heal us, and keep us going. In many cases, we would lose our physical life without them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

All of these positions are noble. And yes, there are bad apples in every profession and we can try to do better. While we have these lifeguards, and are very thankful, who is your life guard? Who have you turned your eternal life over to? We spend so much time trying to protect our physical lives, but do you spend time on your protecting your soul?<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
