Reach Out and let them know you care<\/a>?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I was thinking about that in the midst of shelter in place, no group gatherings, and isolation. Sure, no one likes this, but if we just reach out and let someone know they are cares for and loved, it could go a long way. Heck, even Facebook added a care emoji. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>How do you show your faith through how you care?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5>Scripture<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><em>Phillipians 2:4 &#8211; Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.<\/em><\/li><li><em><a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/111\/1jn.3.17-18\" class=\"verseLink\">1 John 3:17-18<\/a> &#8211; But if anyone has the world&#8217;s goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God&#8217;s love abide in him? Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth<\/em><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5>Reflection<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>How do you care for each other? We see we should take care of our own interests and family but not at the expense of others. We need to care and love our neighbors as we love the Lord. In 1 John, is specifically states that we need to practice what we preach when it comes to good will to others. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It&#8217;s hard to touch someone physically right now. But we all have the power, through Jesus, to touch someone&#8217;s life. Maybe someone is losing a job or being financially impacted by COVID-19. Perhaps, like me, someone is struggling mentally with the isolation and overload of being stuck at home. No matter the reason, you can radically change someone&#8217;s life. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So, let&#8217;s do what AT&amp;T, and God before that, said. Let&#8217;s reach out and touch someone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5>Challenge<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Simple: Pick one person and reach out. This could be a phone call, an email, a Facebook message or anything. It doesn&#8217;t have to cost anything. Just connect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5>Prayer<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Lord Jesus, help us stay connected to one another. Remind us that while we are deployed, we aren&#8217;t isolated. Help us love one another from afar and find ways to reach out in the best way possible. We love you and give you all the Glory and Praise.
