While it reminds me of Good friends, it also reminds me of God Friend, Jesus. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Just a few of the lyrics here of the song:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\"><p>When the road looks rough ahead<\/p><p>And you&#8217;re miles and miles<\/p><p>From your nice warm bed<\/p><p>You just remember what your old pal said<\/p><p>Boy, you&#8217;ve got a friend in me<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\"><p>You&#8217;ve got troubles, I&#8217;ve got &#8217;em too<\/p><p>There isn&#8217;t anything I wouldn&#8217;t do for you<\/p><p>We stick together and we see it through<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Jesus is our friend when we are lost, looking for home, on trouble, and any other situation you could think of. He is with us and like a good friend tells you your faults, helps you improve, and forgives you. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5>Scripture<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><em><a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/111\/jhn.15.14-15\" class=\"verseLink\">John 15:14-15<\/a> &#8211; You are my friends if you do what I command you. No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to yo<\/em>u.<\/li><li><em><a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/111\/jas.2.23\" class=\"verseLink\">James 2:23<\/a> &#8211; And the Scripture was fulfilled that says, \u201cAbraham believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness\u201d\u2014and he was called a friend of God.<\/em><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5>Reflection<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Jesus calls us his friend. He knew us from before we were born and will be with us until the end of the age. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My best friend and I have been friends for 25 years. He is my rock and is always here. We joke that friends help you move, real friends help you move bodies.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now imagine that type of friendship multiplied by infinity. Someone who loves you no matter what. Someone who is with you when you are miles from your warm bed. Jesus never holds a grudge, always forgives, and always provides. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So sing with me.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You&#8217;ve got a friend in Jesus<br>You&#8217;ve got a friend in Jesus<br>When the road looks rough ahead<br>And you&#8217;re miles and miles<br>From your nice warm bed<br>You just remember what your old pal said<br>Boy, you&#8217;ve got a friend in Jesus<br>Yeah, you&#8217;ve got a friend in Jesus<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5>Challenge<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Who is your friend? Why do you call them a friend? Is Jesus on that list? If not, then say a prayer and open the Bible. He will be there for you. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5>Prayer<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Lord Jesus, thank you for calling us friend. Your friendship is one we don&#8217;t deserve and can never earn but you give it freely. We thank you for your friendship and forgiveness.
