Today’s lesson is about calling out for love, support, and happiness. Today’s lesson is inspired by my oldest daughter and I told her I would give her credit where credit is due.<\/p>\n
This morning we were watching videos, singing, enjoying each other’s company while waiting for school. During our sing-a-long, one of your favorite videos came on. It’s a Pixar short called “Lava”. It’s about a volcano, who is all alone in the ocean. He sings every day for someone to lava. He gives his soul (his lava) in prayers to the earth, sea, and sky for someone to love. Unbeknownst to him, there is another volcano, just below the surface of the ocean who hears his song and can’t wait to meet him. Finally, when the female volcano rises up, she is facing away from what is left of the male volcano and can’t see him. Then he sinks underwater and is sad. Finally, he erupts out of the ocean and they are together.<\/p>\n
Seems like a great analogy for many of us in Christ. We cry out for love. We cry out for support. We cry out for someone to lava, I mean, love us. And while His love is always there, surrounding us, we may not see it. It is just out of reach for us. Too many go through life without knowing that the love of Christ is there for them, they just have to believe in him and seek is love.<\/p>\n
