Love<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>#faithbites #faithjourney shine <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This faithbite inspired by my best friend. Thanks for the image. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The holidays are in full swing. We are visiting grandparents for our first Christmas of the year. During the holidays, we often get caught up in the noise and toys, and not about Jesus. For me, while Jesus is the Reason for the Season,  it doesnt mean we can&#8217;t learn from secular culture. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Santa, Rudolph, and Frosty aren&#8217;t biblical but they do represent principles in the bible. Giving, shining, and singing. Taken together these are all aspects of ways to share what Jesus stands for: Love. Let&#8217;s celebrate the season through dancing, shining,  giving, and loving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5>Scripture<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><em>You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; You have loosed my sackcloth and girded me with gladness, &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/111\/psa.30.11\" class=\"verseLink\">Psalm 30:11<\/a><\/em><\/li><li><em>&#8220;Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven. &#8211; Mathew 5:16<\/em><\/li><li><em>Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/111\/2co.9.7\" class=\"verseLink\">2 Corinthians 9:7<\/a><\/em><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5>Reflection<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Jesus is love. He tells us to love God and love our neighbor. How better to show his love than let his light shine through you, dancing through life, and giving generously. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We don&#8217;t have to turn off the commerical icons of Christmas. We can see how they point to Jesus. It may take a little work, but Jesus is in everything we do. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Enjoy Frosty, sing with Rudolph, and give like Santa. Its ok. These are characteristics of Jesus. In the end, everything  points to Him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5>Challenge<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Think about your holiday traditions. Are there ways to use them to point to Christ? Chose one this year, and share with others how it points to Christ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5>Prayer<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Heavenly Lord, we love you. Thank you your forgiveness and salvation.  As the holidays heat up, remind us that Jesus is reason for the season. We can enjoy everything about it and still see you in it.
