Or as we like to say, has gone home to Jesus. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is a case where we can chose to look at the side of death were we miss the person, feel empty, and wish things were different. Or we can look at it where they have received the gifts God has promised and now have no pain and eternal salvation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I try to at the positive side. I also am no fool and know that we look at both sides. We miss the people but also know God has fulfilled his promises. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are given the choice everyday to look at the world through the lens of the world or the lens of God fulfilling his promises. What lenses do you choose?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5>Scripture <\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Since, then, you have been raised with Christ,&nbsp;set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.&nbsp;Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/111\/col.3.1-2\" class=\"verseLink\">Colossians 3:1-2<\/a><\/li><li>My son,&nbsp;do not forget my teaching,&nbsp;but keep my commands in your heart,&nbsp;for they will prolong your life many years&nbsp;and bring you peace and prosperity.&nbsp;Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man. &#8211;&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/111\/pro.3.1-4\" class=\"verseLink\">Proverbs 3:1-4<\/a><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5>Reflection<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>With our eyes on Christ, we know we will be saved and all good things come from above. Bot only that, but we see our lives will be prosperous and extended when we look to God first. That doesn&#8217;t mean this will be easy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When my father passed,  I  was rocked to my core. I also didn&#8217;t know Jesus at that time. When my Grandmother passed almost two years ago, I was saddened but knew I will see her again some day. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We can choose to look at people and situations in a negative view; Those people who don&#8217;t agree with us, those situations where we dont get what we want. That serves to tear us down. If we look at those through the eyes of God, maybe, just maybe, we get a peak st Gods plan. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5>Challenge<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Is there a person or situation bothering you? Write it down and pray about it. Ask god for clarity and answers.  He may give you the vision you seek. Then, when he answers look at it with Christ in the center, now wh as t does it look like?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5>Prayer<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Father God, today we remember those who have passed and gone home. While this is a sad day, it is also a day of celebration as we know you have fulfilled your promises. Help us to remember to look at all situ ar tions through a Christ lens and not the lens of the world. When we mess us, be with us and strengthen our hearts and resolve. You never said following Jesus would be easy, but you are always with us and reward us for doing so. We pray for healing, comfort, and peace for all those remembering loved ones who have gone home.
