1 Corinthians 7:5<\/a><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\nReflection <\/h5>\n\n\n\n
Sex is made to bind us and connect us. We shouldn’t deprive husband or wife from sex as it allows Satan to break in between. We should rejoice in what God has provided for us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Now, what we can do is change how we teach our children about sex. We can use fear-based teaching as most do now. This includes pregnancy, disease, rape, shame and more. While this may work for a late friday night, it does6nt last. We want to do what we are told not to do. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Imagine, if we instead taught that sex is awesome and a gift. Imagine if we taught our children to fight for that gift. That when they passed up a one night stand, they were strengthening their hold on the promises of the future. Teaching in love and God’s promises is much stronger than scaring them into abstinence. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
We can talk more about how and when tall about sex soon. For now, let’s revel in this awesome gift. That shaming and fear won’t help in the long run.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Think about sex. How were you taught? How has that changed your life? Now, imagine if you were taught that sex is good, holy, and a gift from God. Would that change your life?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Father God, we thank you for the awesome gift of sex. You knew man could not live alone and created a partner. You gave us sex for procreation and to bind us. We live in a culture where sex is in everything and everywhere. Help us to remember that sex is good in the right time with the right person. Give us the words to teach and talk iit in a life giving way and not in fear. We need your guidance as we live in your way in a broken world.
