It&#8217;s Reformation Sunday.  This is the day when Martin Luther nailed his <a href=\"https:\/\/en.m.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Ninety-five_Theses\">95 Theses<\/a> on the door of The All Saint&#8217;s Church in Wittenberg. This is seen as the day, when the church went back to the people or in other words, when Jesus was taught as according to the Bible. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>No longer was the Word only in another language. No more middle men to Jesus. Direct salvation through Christ Alone was back. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Many things have changed in the 502 years since that first Reformation Sunday. The church has spread, other faiths have developed, factions among the lutherans and more have happened. Church attendance has dropped in the US. One thing hasn&#8217;t changed: Jesus. He is here for you. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The question is are you ready to reform your life and accept him. He has already accepted you. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4>Scripture<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul><li> For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/111\/1ti.2.5\" class=\"verseLink\">1 Timothy 2:5<\/a><\/li><li> Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God. &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/111\/rom.15.7\" class=\"verseLink\">Romans 15:7<\/a><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4>Reflection<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>There are two main relationships in this world. You and God and you and others. There is no hierarchy between these relationships. God has sent Jesus, his only son, to bridge the divide between man and God. He has paid the price for Moses breaking the covenant. Jesus is with us and for us. We don&#8217;t need anyone else to be in the middle. We love our teachers, pastors, and religious leaders. They help us understand Jesus and God&#8217;s word. They are on the journey with us, but in between.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our second relationship is with each other. We need to accept all of God&#8217;s children as Christ has accepted us. No conditions. We may not agree or condone their behavior, but love comes first. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here&#8217;s the thing. We can live a life of pain and sadness when we aren&#8217;t connected to God or each other. I choose to continue to reform my life so I am in commune with God and with my neighbors. All it takes is one step to know you are loved, chosen, and accepted. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4>Challenge<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Reformation Sunday is a day to think about our lives. Think about how your life is going. Do you need reform to be closer to God? Know that he is waiting for you to accept his son, and pick up the God phone, also known as prayer. Your life will never be the same, once you know you have the Lord of Lords and the King of Kings on your side.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4>Prayer<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Father God, thank you for your servant, Martin Luther. Over 500 years ago, you sent him to help bring us back to the true Gospel and to you. You are clear in how we should pray and that the only mediator we need is your Son. Help us follow Him in all we do. Lord, we also pray for our religious leaders as they help us follow you more closely and keep true to the promises you provide for us. We love you and honor you.
