When all we have left is our faith. Today, we look at what happens when that door slams closed behind you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At my daughter&#8217;s school today, I talked to a good friend and explained how bad yesterday was. She said sometimes God gives us very clear signs. This was one. A change is needed. What God doesnt do is say, &#8220;Ok, that door is now closed, here&#8217;s the next door I&#8217;m opening for you.&#8221; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All of us have experienced a door closing behind us, the challenge is where is the next door?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4>Scripture <\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>\u201c\u2018I know your works. Behold, I have set before you an open door, which no one is able to shut. I know that you have but little power, and yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name.- <a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/111\/rev.3.8\" class=\"verseLink\">Revelation 3:8<\/a><\/li><li>Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me. &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/111\/rev.3.20\" class=\"verseLink\">Revelation 3:20<\/a><\/li><li><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4>Reflection <\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>We dont usually dig into Revelation,  but when we are looking to the future it makes sense. The first verse tells us that God will open a door for us and nothing and no one can close it. That even though we are weak and stumbling, we have stayed true.  He will reward us for that faithfulness.  Likewise, later on,  he promises us if we stay true, he will open a door, come in, and eat with us. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This shows us that God has a plan. And a time. If we keep strong, pray, and follow him, the door will open. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Trust me, all I see is a slammed door and a sign behind me. I know there is light appearing around the edges of a door. Yet, I don&#8217;t know what the door is, where it leads to, or when it will open. I just have to have faith and know it will open soon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4>Challenge <\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>As I&#8217;m thinking about writing this challenge, my brain knows its trite. That having patience is easier said than  done. That in faith, all things happen. But it&#8217;s TRUE. Time, prayer, and an open heart with open the door <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4>Prayer<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Lord, thank you for your Word. Sometimes when times are rough, when a door closes and a new doesnt immediately open up, we are stressed. You tell us that we may have plans, but you will give us what we need in your way, on your time. Instill in us a little sense of patience so we can wait. Open our hearts and eyes to see the next door you open. For you will never leave us in limbo. We love you Lord Jesus, and give you all the honor and glory.
