We were watching the last season The Big Bang Theory and Sheldon called Leonard a Satisficer. They joked that it was a made up word, but it&#8217;s not. It means someone who Satisfices which means &#8220;<span style=\"color:rgb(64,64,64); font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; font-size:13px; font-style:normal; font-variant-ligatures:normal; font-variant-caps:normal; font-weight:400; letter-spacing:normal; orphans:2text-indent:0px; text-transform:none; white-space:normal; widows:2; word-spacing:0px; -webkit-text-stroke-width:0px; background-color:rgb(255,255,255); text-decoration-style:initial; text-decoration-color:initial; display:inline!important; float:none; text-align:left;\">to act in such a way as to satisfy the minimum requirements for achieving a particular result<\/span>&#8220;.<\/p>\n<p>When I thought about it, that&#8217;s how I live most of my life. I don&#8217;t fight for what I want and usually go with the flow so others get what they want. At the same time, there still is the minimum a solution must meet, but I don&#8217;t push it.<\/p>\n<p>I guess, most things don&#8217;t bother me enough to be a Maximizer as people pleasing gets me by just fine.<\/p>\n<p>Many of us, in our faith, become satisficers in that we don&#8217;t fight for our faith but go with the flow. We know what we believe but don&#8217;t want to make waves with others.<\/p>\n<p>While we may be satisficers in many aspects of our lives, we need to be maximizers in faith.<\/p>\n<h5>Scripture<\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li> <span style=\"color:rgb(51,51,51); font-family:helvetica,arial; font-size:16.9px; font-style:normal; font-variant-ligatures:normal; font-variant-caps:normal; font-weight:400; letter-spacing:normal; orphans:2text-indent:0px; text-transform:none; float:none; text-align:left;\">Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.<\/span> &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/111\/2ti.2.15\" class=\"verseLink\">2 Timothy 2:15<\/a><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"text Eph-6-10\" style=\"-webkit-font-smoothing:antialiased; <a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/111\/eph.6.10\" class=\"verseLink\">Ephesians 6:10<\/a> &#8211; 17<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5>Reflection<\/h5>\n<p>In Timothy, we see that we should handle the truth of God and never be ashamed of what the Word says. We need to be the warrior, that God wants in his army. Speaking of armies, God gives us his armor. This protects and strengthens us. Part of the armor, is the belt of Truth, and the shield of faith to extinguish any flaming arrows.<\/p>\n<p>What does this mean? It means being a Maximizer for Christ. God gives us his word and his sword (Armor), as he knows it will be a challenge. He never leaves us unprepared.<\/p>\n<p>Take up his charge and fight for his Truth.<\/p>\n<h5>Charge<\/h5>\n<p>It&#8217;s not easy to change from a Satisficer to a Maximizer. That it one day at a time. Dedicate your self to Christ, understand what you know and where you have questions, then find the answers. When you are solid in Christ, you will feel his strength, and can achieve all things.<\/p>\n<h5>Prayer<\/h5>\n<p>Lord, thank you for equipping us to battle the evil out there. Help us to not be wishy-washy, but rather be a solider and stand upon the world. We thank you for your righteousness and for surrounding us with love.
