I didn&#8217;t need the help as I could do it myself. In fact, her jelp, often made the job harder and longer.<\/p>\n<p>The point was she was learning a skill and spending time with me.<\/p>\n<p>Often we look at efficiency over effect. Sure, there are many things we can do by ourselves. If we take the time to ask for help, we are proving a growth opportunity for someone else, as well as a chance for us to learn something new.<\/p>\n<p>Your faith journey is like that. You can read the Bible by yourself. When you ask for help understanding God and entering a conversation with someone else, you all grow. (Indeed you are the only one who can correctly evaluate the motives of all people.)<\/span> &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/111\/2ch.6.29-30\" class=\"verseLink\">2 Chronicles 6:29-30<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5>Reflection<\/h5>\n<p>We pray and ask for God&#8217;s help all the time. As we see in Isaiah, it says the Lord waits for us to come to him. He doesn&#8217;t need us to do anything. He created the universe and can do anything on his own. In Chronicles, we see the people of Israel acknowledging their paont and asking for help as they can&#8217;t do it on their own.<\/p>\n<p>We see two types of help. God who needs no help having people come to him then he will do it and the. The people saying they can&#8217;t do it and need the help.<\/p>\n<p>In life, we often fall into both categories. Remember that I can cook dinner and do most things around the house myself. But, when I ask for help, others can partake, grow, be included, and all can grow.<\/p>\n<p>God&#8217;s saying come to me, is his acknowledgement that others need help and having them be active in their help. When you ask others to help, even when you don&#8217;t need it, it&#8217;s the same impact. You are providing an opportunity to build and deepen a relationship.<\/p>\n<h5>Charge<\/h5>\n<p>Ask for help even if you don&#8217;t need it. Invite someone to assist you with something and let that experience deepen your understanding as well as teach them.<\/p>\n<h5>Prayer<\/h5>\n<p>Heavenly Father, you provide us so many opportunities to demonstrate the gifts you gave us. Remind us to invite others to help us grow and in exchange help them grow. We weren&#8217;t meant to do it on our own, even if we can. You want us to be in fellowship with each other. Giving and receiving of help is a key part of that. Let us remember that always.
