We are one people from a common ancestor. God loves us. Yes, we should seek the Lord and learn from him. But for those who don’t, that doesn’t mean he doesn’t love them and we shouldn’t love them. No matter what they do, we show love.<\/p>\n
Today was remarkable to see this in action. Sure, it’s a manufactured experience, but the way that everyone is similar showed much more than how everyone is different. Turn to love, and the differences fade away.<\/p>\n
Charge<\/h5>\n
Look beyond skin, beyond nationality, even religion. Remember that there is more that ties us together than separates us.<\/p>\n
Prayer<\/h5>\n
Lord, you made us from one person. We are one people. Help us see past our differences and into your face as we are one. Remind us that we are more alike than different. We all love the same, cry the same, hurt the same, die the same. We are your people, help us to remember this always. In your name, Amen.<\/p>\n
