She told me her friends daddy wasn&#8217;t home and asked why. I told her he&#8217;s working. She told me he always works and I said, I do too. She said, no Daddy you stay home sometimes. I told her work isn&#8217;t the most important thing to me. The. I asked her what the most important thing to me was. Her response: Loving Us.<\/p>\n<p>From the mouths of babes it&#8217;s. It the stuff I buy, the things we do, it&#8217;s the love share. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children of one&#8217;s youth. Blessed is the man who fills his quiver with them! They are hard, loving, exhausting, and wonderful. God gives us children to train them up in the right way.<br \/>\nMy father loved me, but didn&#8217;t say it much. He neve talked like that but he was there at my sporting events and my theater activities. I don&#8217;t think his father gave him a legacy of love and showing affection.<br \/>\nIt&#8217;s our chance to break that cycle.<\/p>\n<p>My children know I am not Superman and have faults. They also know my most important job is loving them. If I can keep that love center, then they will look for a man who treats them and their future children the same.<br \/>\nWe all ha e a chance to speak life into our great-grandchildren through simple acts of love.<\/p>\n<h5>Charge<\/h5>\n<p>If you asked your children, spouse, or friends, what is most important to you, what would they say? Would they say loving them? Maybe loving God? (Mine did say loving God was my second)<br \/>\nIf they don&#8217;t say that, what can you do to put them first? How do you show that loving them is more important than stuff? It&#8217;s not easy, but a few minutes a day, can change their trajectory for life.<\/p>\n<h5>Prayer<\/h5>\n<p>Lord, thank you for the gift of children, spouses, family, and friends. Help us to remember that our job is not where we work 8-5 earning money. Our job is to show love and make sure they know that we have love for them. It&#8217;s easy for us to get sucked up in the day to day of providing for their physical needs. Help us to provide for their spiritual needs through love.
