Today’s lesson is on Apathy. Today I feel blah. No motivation to do anything. I have things to do, but no drive to do it. I had to push myself to write this faith bites. I know when I’m done with it, I will be happy. But right now, I just feel blah. Sol is no different than everyone else. We have up days, down days, and blah days. Maybe it’s the clouds outside. Maybe it’s the cold or my cold. Who knows. But the blah is there.<\/p>\n

Like most faithbites, I have an experience or feeling and look to the good book. So when I looked up Apathy. Wow. It changed my outlook just a bit.<\/p>\n

“Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor,\u00a0serving the Lord.” – Romans 12:11<\/a><\/p>\n

“making the most of every opportunity,\u00a0because the days are evil.” – Ephesians 5:16<\/a><\/p>\n

So wow, shocking huh? There are many more verses like that. Make the most of every opportunity because days are evil? To be spit out of the Lord’s mouth? These are not things that I want in my life. I want to serve him. I want to take all of the opportunities he gives me and run with them. I don’t always feel like Superman and that’s ok. I just need to know that when I take my rest, I need to start again. It’s like a video game. You need save points. Both for rest, and when you mess up. Unlike a game, you can’t reset and continue but you can become regrounded and try again.\u00a0 I will find my energy and be thankful for the day the Lord has made.<\/p>\n

Are you willing to see your apathy and move past it? Are you willing to trust the Lord has given you amazing opportunities?<\/p>\n
