I was home and safe. That was great. What was even better is being woken up the next morning by two girls who were giddy that I was back and missed me. They didn&#8217;t want me to leave again and we&#8217;re excited for our normal night routine including prayers and songs.<\/p>\n<p>It is true, there is no place like home. Sometimes we see our home lives as places of trouble. Even then, there is a longing to have a place to call home. A place where you can be you, where you are loved, and where you are supported.<\/p>\n<p>For many, it is a physical dwelling where they live. For others it is work. You are safe, loved, and supported. God has told us that he will provide for us, bless our houses, and be at rest.<\/p>\n<p>As we have discussed many times, we are to love our neighbor. How better than to welcome them into your home. It could be where you sleep, where you work, or where you worship.<\/p>\n<p>We are blessed with everything that we have. All of which comes from the creator. I am blessed to welcome anyone into my home, my work, and my church as I have been blessed by others.<\/p>\n<h5>Charge<\/h5>\n<p>Open your door an heart to someone. It can be as simple as listening to someone at work. Maybe invite someone to dinner or a coffee. Offer to have someone join you for worship.<\/p>\n<p>When you are welcoming, God can work wonders through you.<\/p>\n<h5>Prayer<\/h5>\n<p>Lord, thank you for the many blessings I have. I sometimes take for granted that I have a home, a work home, a church home, and friends. Help those who do not have homes to find one. Help us who have them to always be welcoming to your people. Give is the strength to not be afraid of someone different than us. Remind us to always open our doors.
