Perhaps the unknown is just not knowing  what is going on. Then you spend time waiting for the results or a diagnosis which can drive you crazy.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m in that space waiting for test results.<\/p>\n<p>But it is more than that. It extends to every part of our lives. Some people seem fearless and dive into unknown waters, why others dip their toes in, and still others stay far from the Waters edge. There is the saying that the greater the risk the greater the reward. But is that the world talking or God?<\/p>\n<p>Should we embrace of fear the unknown?<\/p>\n<h5>Scripture<\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color:rgb(0,0,0); font-family:Corbel,Verdana,sans-serif; font-size:medium; font-style:normal; font-variant-ligatures:normal; font-variant-caps:normal; font-weight:400; letter-spacing:normal; orphans:2text-indent:0px; text-transform:none; white-space:normal; widows:2; word-spacing:0px; -webkit-text-stroke-width:0px; background-color:rgb(255,255,255); text-decoration-style:initial; text-decoration-color:initial; display:inline!important; float:none; text-align:left;\">I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.\u201d<\/span> &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/111\/jhn.16.33\" class=\"verseLink\">John 16:33<\/a><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color:rgb(0,0,0); font-family:Corbel,Verdana,sans-serif; font-size:medium; font-style:normal; font-variant-ligatures:normal; font-variant-caps:normal; font-weight:400; letter-spacing:normal; orphans:2text-indent:0px; text-transform:none; white-space:normal; widows:2; word-spacing:0px; -webkit-text-stroke-width:0px; background-color:rgb(255,255,255); text-decoration-style:initial; text-decoration-color:initial; display:inline!important; float:none; text-align:left;\">And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.\u201d<\/span>&#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/111\/jhn.8.22\" class=\"verseLink\">John 8:22<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5>Reflection<\/h5>\n<p>It&#8217;s unusual for all of our verses to come from the same book, but the Gospel of Saint John brings it home. If we believe the word of God is true, if we believe in salvation, then we have nothing to fear .<\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s not saying it will be all sunshine, rainbows, and puppy dogs. We will have tribulations, fear, and anguish. But we don&#8217;t need to be afraid as Jesus knows what tomorrow will bring. For a bonus verse, let&#8217;s look at <a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/111\/mrk.5.36\" class=\"verseLink\">Mark 5:36<\/a> \u201cJesus told him, \u2018Don\u2019t be afraid; just believe&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s it. We shouldn&#8217;t fear the unknown. If God has made everything and has a path for us, then there is unknown.<\/p>\n<p>Yes, I&#8217;m nervous about test results, annual reviews, and the future, but it will be what God intended it to be.<\/p>\n<h5>Charge<\/h5>\n<p>Are you dreading the unknown? Does worry keep you up. Turn it over to God. Remind yourself that he is already there. He will give you the strength to accomplish all things.<\/p>\n<h5>Prayer<\/h5>\n<p>Heavenly Lord, thank you for always being there. Thank you for your strength and consistency when. We battle the fear of the unknown. Remind us that you are already there and you will give us strength and perseverance to succeed. We thank you for defeating the darkness and our fear of the unknown.
