As an adult how many times do you think to yourself &#8220;I don&#8217;t wanna A,B, or C? Maybe it was go to work, clean the house, or do your chores. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I have these experiences alot. For instance tonight I didn&#8217;t wanna do my #faithbite, I don&#8217;t wanna go to work, I definitely don&#8217;t wanna clean. But there are things we need to do for our faith, our family, and our well being. While we know this to be true, it&#8217;s hard to get the motivation to do things you aren&#8217;t energized about. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4>Scripture<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/111\/col.3.23\" class=\"verseLink\">Colossians 3:23<\/a><\/li><li>All hard work brings a profit,<br>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0but mere talk leads only to poverty. &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/111\/pro.14.33\" class=\"verseLink\">Proverbs 14:33<\/a><\/li><li>&#8220;Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.&#8221; &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/111\/1co.15.58\" class=\"verseLink\">1 Corinthians 15:58<\/a><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4>Reflection<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Have you ever heard of the story of the construction worker who worked for a man all his life? Well the store goes this was a very hard worker and the boss gave him one more house to build. He did his best even though he was tired. At  the end of the build, the boss gave him the house. He didn&#8217;t know that his hard work would benefit him and he would be rewarded for all he did. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Colossians, we see that our motivation is in the Lord himself. If we believe we are working to please him and not human masters, the motivation comes easily. Similiarly, in Proverbs, we see the old saying of all talk and no action. If we want to be disciples, we need to put our actions out there for all to see. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I need to remember this the next time, I don&#8217;t wanna get out of bed or do something. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4>Charge<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Are you lacking motivation today? Maybe you need to focus on who the work is for. If it&#8217;s the Lord&#8217;s work, find strength in it. If it&#8217;s not His work, maybe you need a change in direction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4>Prayer<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Lord, thank you for your energy and your direction. Help us on those I don&#8217;t wanna days, realize that our work is your work give us the strength to be motivated by you to accomplish all the things you need us to.
