Nothing really happened, nothing you can hang your hat on. Just hit with dread, depression, and anxiety. A friend told me that if you name the anxiety it becomes something you can tackle and not a nebulous thing. But what about when you don&#8217;t know what&#8217;s bothering you. That was today. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sometimes, we ask people how they are doing, and they say they aren&#8217;t happy, but they don&#8217;t know why. It&#8217;s not always a copout. It&#8217;s those moments when there is no apparent answer, that it&#8217;s the hardest. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I know it will pass, just like everything else. Those are the days when it&#8217;s nice to know that I have Jesus on my side.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5>Scripture<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>The LORD is with me; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me? &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/111\/psa.118.6\" class=\"verseLink\">Psalm 118:6<\/a><\/li><li>For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him  &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/111\/php.2.13\" class=\"verseLink\">Philippians 2:13<\/a> (NLT)<\/li><li>Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength. &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/111\/neh.8.10\" class=\"verseLink\">Nehemiah 8:10<\/a><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5>Reflection<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>There are times when I&#8217;m mad or depressed and there is a cause. Like when doing my daughter&#8217;s hair and spraying detangler in my eyes. Or when the kids won&#8217;t do what they are told for the ten thousandth time. But other times, there is no rhym or reason. You just feel blue. For me, the blue gets dark and deep as it triggers my anxiety. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Today though, I stopped, and turned to God. While it wasn&#8217;t gone instantly, I knew I wasn&#8217;t alone. At that time, my spouse sent me a message asking how I was and was sorry I was feeling how I was. Maybe that was God working in her. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So just remember, that God is always with us. He is our strength, he is working in us, and nothing this world can through at us can beat us. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a funny aside, the Psalm verse for today reminded me of an old gamer saying: Foolish Mortal. Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons. For you are crunchy and go well with ketchup. Our God is mightier than any dragon. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5>Charge<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>When the blues get to you or you are feeling down without a reason, take a moment to breathe. In that moment, ask the Lord for guidance. He will help you overcome any obstacle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5>Prayer<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Heavenly God, there are many dealing with anxiety, depression, fear, and grief. While some of it we can attribute to a source, others we can&#8217;t. Help us find strength in you to overcome those feelings. Give us the patience and knowledge to look to you to find out why we feel that way. Remind us that nothing in this world can ever defeat us with you on our side.
