I think it&#8217;s quite simple. If we couldn&#8217;t pray to God how would we talk to him? How would we confess and build a relationship with Him? How would we form a faith community? The answer is, we wouldn&#8217;t be able to. The ability to prayer is as important if not more as our ability to converse with each other. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Not only that, but it also helps us join together. I sent in a prayer request to the church as we are remembering Dad&#8217;s passing this week and next. I received a Facebook message from one of our Pastors that they had received our prayer request and is praying us up. That simple message reminded me that we are being thought of and loved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All of this connectedness is through Prayer and a Gift from God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4>Scripture<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord\u2019s people. &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/111\/eph.6.18\" class=\"verseLink\">Ephesians 6:18<\/a><\/li><li>\u00a0Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray. Is anyone happy? Let them sing songs of praise. &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/111\/jas.5.13\" class=\"verseLink\">James 5:13<\/a><\/li><li>&#8220;For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.&#8221;\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/111\/2ti.1.7\" class=\"verseLink\">2 Timothy 1:7<\/a><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4>Reflection<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>God has blessed us with prayer. It is powerful and when we sing to him and pray, we are connected to him. Through our prayers, he provides people into our lives who love us. He connects us to each other through prayer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>No matter what happens, God answers our prayers. This is a lifeline is even more important than the one that connects us to each other. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4>Charge<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Pray. It connects us to God and to each other. It doesn&#8217;t matter how we pray, as long as it&#8217;s to the Lord. He understands all our prayers and will connect us to each other. Pray for others and ask others to pray for you. This connects us to God and each other. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4>Prayer<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Dear God, thank you for the gift of prayer. Thank you for allowing us a direct line to you. Help our prayers to be pleasing to you. Allow us through prayer to be connected to each other in your family.
