The day when we remember we came from dust and will return to dust. We also remember that through the Cross, though our bodies are Ash, our souls are saved. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During service our Pastor talked about the beatitudes. He then talked about what it means to be righteous. Righteousness is literally being right with God. When we aren&#8217;t, we feel uneasy, unsure, and have pain. Why? We have a Godhole. Unlike a wound that can be covered with a bandage or a a stomach that can be filled with food, a Godhole can only be filled with God. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We try to fill that hole with material possessions, sins, and other things that I take us away from being righteous or right with God.  How can we learn to fill our Godhole with God?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4>Scripture<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>You have planted much, but harvested little. You eat, but never have enough. You drink, but never have your fill. You put on clothes, but are not warm. You earn wages, only to put them in a purse with holes in it.&#8221;- <a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/111\/hag.1.6\" class=\"verseLink\">Haggai 1:6<\/a><\/li><li>Then Jesus declared,\u00a0\u201cI am\u00a0the bread of life.Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes\u00a0in me will never be thirsty &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/111\/jhn.6.35\" class=\"verseLink\">John 6:35<\/a><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4>Reflection<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>As we see in Haggai, we can do everything earthly in our power and not be satisfied. We may have small moments of what it feels like to be full but that hunger will come back. When we try to fill our Godhole without God, we invite even more sin into our lives. It destroys our relationships, hampers our progress, and prevents us from being God&#8217;s workmanship. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When we eat of the body and drink of the Blood of Christ, we start to fill that hole. When we join in confession, worship, and fellowship, we feel fewer hunger pangs. Finally, when we accept the Lord and His Word as Truth, we can be satisfied. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We may still have sin and pain, but keeping our Godhole filled will help us weather any storm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4>Charge<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Are you anxious or nervous? Do you feel that things just aren&#8217;t right? Are you trying to fill that emptiness with activity, with possessions, or vices? That is probably your soul telling you your Godhole needs to be filled by Christ. Invite him back into your heart to be filled <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4>Prayer<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Dear Lord, as we enter this Lenten season, remind us that we start as Ash and will return to Ash. Help us to know that you are always here and ready to help us be satisfied and full. We don&#8217;t need earthly things to fill out Godhole, only you. Be with us daily.
