Someone doing something for some stranger to help them out. Today, we are going to talk about known Acts of Kindness. This is where someone does something for someone they know. These personal acts can radically change a person&#8217;s day and outlook. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With my knee, I have been unable to go to church for the past two weeks. I was quite upset about it as I miss that fellowship and communion with people. Today, one of our pastors, actually filmed one of the songs &#8220;Jesus&#8221; by Chris Tomlin from the side and sent it to me. What struck me was &#8220;he carries my healing in His Hands&#8221;. This is what I needed. It was an act of kindness that soothed my soul.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This afternoon, I received a text from my neighbor. My driveway had been shovled. No way I could do it in this condition. He did it without asking, without repayment, or anything. It was an act of kindness that soothed my mind wondering how this would get done. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Neither of these acts required money, just a bit of time and thought. This is what kindness means.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5>Scripture<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul><li> But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such <g class=\"gr_ gr_6 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim Punctuation only-ins replaceWithoutSep\" id=\"6\" data-gr-id=\"6\">things<\/g> there is no law. &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/111\/gal.5.22-23\" class=\"verseLink\">Galatians 5:22-23<\/a><\/li><li> In all <g class=\"gr_ gr_41 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim Punctuation only-ins replaceWithoutSep\" id=\"41\" data-gr-id=\"41\">things<\/g> I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, \u2018It is more blessed to give than to receive.\u2019\u201d &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/111\/act.20.35\" class=\"verseLink\">Acts 20:35<\/a><\/li><li> Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor. &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/111\/rom.12.10\" class=\"verseLink\">Romans 12:10<\/a><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5>Reflection<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>We are all busy people. We have so many things to do, not enough time, not enough money, and not enough direction. But we have the power to follow in Jesus&#8217; footsteps. His Word shows us how to treat one another. Imagine doing small things like this that can help someone like nothing else. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It doesn&#8217;t take money to give. You can give of your time, energy, and treasure if you can. But of the three verses, the Romans verse is sticking with me. Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor. This doesn&#8217;t say to go into debt or do anything crazy. Just love one another like a brother. Outdo each other in how you honor them. By honor your brother you honor God. As Jesus told us, Love God, Love People. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I am so grateful for the people who commit these known acts of kindness. What an awesome world if we all did this for each other. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5>Charge<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Have you committed a known act of kindness lately? Is there someone who needs something? It doesn&#8217;t have to be big. Maybe make them a card. Shovel their driveway. Bring in their garbage cans. Give them a smile. Provide an ear for them. It doesn&#8217;t take much. Just be there as it is much better to give than receive. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5>Prayer<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Heavenly Lord, thank you for all of the friends you have put into our lives. You give them direction and motion through your Holy Spirit in all of the actions they do for others. Give us all the strength and ability to commit known acts of kindness.
