Between my knee of fire, grocery shopping, shoveling, trying to keep the house clean, cooking, valentine&#8217;s day shopping, and more, I&#8217;m done. I&#8217;m angry that my knee is worse than it&#8217;s been. I&#8217;m depressed that it&#8217;s not getting better. The house no matter how much I straighten up, is two steps forward, four steps back. The kids are being normal kids which includes not listening, cleaning, picking up, being picky about food, etc. And me, I&#8217;m just trying to be me. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It&#8217;s one of those days when you feel like you should be Superman and be able to handle all of it, but at the same time, just want to have a drink (or six) and hide out. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What I know through my faith and experience is we all have days like this. They are there to remind us and help us appreciate the good times. God only has the best for us so through hard work, faith and belief, I know these days will be fewer than the good days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5>Scripture<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul><li> \u201cI have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this <g class=\"gr_ gr_6 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim Punctuation only-ins replaceWithoutSep\" id=\"6\" data-gr-id=\"6\">world<\/g> you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.\u201d  &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/111\/jhn.16.33\" class=\"verseLink\">John 16:33<\/a><\/li><li> And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.\u201d &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/111\/1pe.5.10\" class=\"verseLink\">1 Peter 5:10<\/a><\/li><li> \u201cSo do not fear, I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.\u201d\u00a0 &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/111\/isa.41.10\" class=\"verseLink\">Isaiah 41:10<\/a><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5>Reflection<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Today&#8217;s reflection is pretty short. In a nutshell, some days will be great and others will be a big bag of suck. <a href=\"http:\/\/roberts-lieb.com\/faithbites\/2019\/01\/14\/january-14-my-day-sucks-more-than-yours\/\">Our bag of suck may seem<\/a> like nothing to others, but we are all justified in talking about and understanding our bad days. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our scriptures for today tell us life will be hard. There will be times when we are beaten down, strained, and at our breaking point. But no matter what happens, our Lord is there to uphold us with his right hand.  For he loves us no matter what.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5>Charge<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Today&#8217;s charge is hard. Know that you are not perfect and you will have a bad day. The bad day isn&#8217;t because you are a bad person. We will have them. When you have those day, think about them and acknowledge them. Then remember the good days. As a good friend of mine used to say &#8220;Nothing too good or too bad lasts too long&#8221;. But we know the goodness of Christ is eternal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5>Prayer<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Lord God, help me to understand that having a bad day is ok. Give me the strength to acknowledge that I am not perfect and can&#8217;t be everything to everyone at every time. Remind me to come to you when I am stressed, frustrated, and at my wits end. Help us all to remember the gifts you give us and that you will always protect and bless us.
