Flawless.<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>#faithbites #faithjourney baptized<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When I was younger I thought that getting baptized was getting some water on your head, or dunked depending on your church. I thought it was a symbol of the church that you were part of the church. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When I learned more about the church, I learned that being baptized was being made part of God&#8217;s family. I also learned that the holy spirit created faith in my. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Today I learned that because of baptism, I am innocent by association with Jesus. I am connected to him and flawless because of him. He took my sins and died for them. We died with him, are reborn with him, and get his inheritance. All in all, not a bad way to spend a Sunday morning in God&#8217;s house. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5>Scripture<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul><li> In him we were also chosen, having been predestined\u00a0according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will, &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/111\/eph.1.11\" class=\"verseLink\">Ephesians 1:11<\/a><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Or don\u2019t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life. For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his. For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin\u2014 because anyone who has died has been set free from sin. Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/111\/rom.6.3-10\" class=\"verseLink\">Romans 6:3-10<\/a> <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5>Reflection<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>The title of this #faithbite mentioned being baptized, connected, and flawless. As we see in our scripture, we don&#8217;t chose to be in God&#8217;s family. He chose us long ago. It just takes some of us a lot longer than others to realize that our God is an Awesome God and he wants us all to be saved, connected, and have Jesus&#8217;s inheritance which is ever-lasting life. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Am I flawless? Na. I sin on a daily basis. I am flawless to God because I am innocent through association with Christ. Jesus was God made mortal, was baptized to be connected with us, took on our sins, and then died on the cross. But that&#8217;s not the end of the story. He then rose and received his inheritance. Likewise, when God looks at all his children flocking around Jesus, he sees innocence as his son is. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I will continue to sin on a daily basis. Not by choice but because my flesh is flawed. I will continue to ask for forgiveness in Christ because we are connected and because of his divine nature, I am made flawless before my maker. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5>Charge<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>When someone asks how you are, do you answer? I am Baptized or I am a child of God? Try it out. You may get people look at you funny for a bit, but when they realized that because you are a baptized child of God, you are connected to the divine, you are flawless, and will have all of Christ&#8217;s inheritance. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5>Prayer<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Heavenly father, help us to remember that because of your son, we are connected. Let us know that on our best days, we are baptized. Remind us that on our worst days, we are baptized. You chose us before we were born and nothing that we do changes that.
