Other&#8217;s thought, &#8220;Who the heck is Milhouse&#8221;. Well he&#8217;s a character on the Simpsons. In one episode he credited his flood pants for keeping his cuffs bone dry. It has since come to mean that everything is coming up roses or everything is going your way. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Do you ever have days like that?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Yesterday, I was walking into my building at work and the doors to the elevator just opened before I got there. No button pushing needed. The ride in was easy. The music was good. Everything I was touching turned to gold. It helped me to realize that even when there are some bad parts in my life (my knee, stress, etc), there are some really amazing things out there. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We just need to be in tune to God&#8217;s gifts and everything will come up Milhouse. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5>Scripture<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul><li> And we know that in all things God works for the good\u00a0of those who love him, who\u00a0have been called\u00a0according to his purpose. &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/111\/rom.8.28\" class=\"verseLink\">Romans 8:28<\/a><\/li><li> Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord. &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/111\/1co.15.58\" class=\"verseLink\">1 Corinthians 15:58<\/a><\/li><li> A faithful man will abound with blessings, But he who makes haste to be rich will not go unpunished. &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/111\/pro.28.20\" class=\"verseLink\">Proverbs 28:20<\/a><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5>Reflection<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>We all have good days and bad days. Sometimes we have the everything is coming up Milhouse days. What we learn from our scripture is that if we have faith in the Lord we will abound with blessings and that our toil will not be in vain. We know that God will protect us, give us what we need, and help us along the way. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sure, having a great day is something we would like everday, but if everyday was great, would you appreciate the greatness? One of my friends used to say &#8220;Nothing too good or too bad lasts too long&#8221;. I have lived with that most of my life. I know things aren&#8217;t always going to be good and likewise that things aren&#8217;t always going to be bad. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What I have learned since I found Jesus is that no matter how bad they get or good they get, Christ is there. If I have faith and belief, then all things are possible and all things in the Lord&#8217;s plan will come to me. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5>Charge<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Are you having an exceptionally awesome day? Is everything coming up you? If so, that&#8217;s amazing. Give thanks to God for it. Is everything going against you? That&#8217;s ok. Pray to God and his gifts will come to you. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5>Prayer<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Merciful Father, we know that not all days are going to be perfect and come up roses. There are going to be ups and down. We ask for you to be with us on the roller coaster of life. Help us enjoy the highs and buffer us when we hit the lows. Let us know that we will never be alone.
