It was unexpected and I hope that everyone keeps her and her family in their prayers. To quote one of our Pastors &#8220;I&#8217;m grateful death doesn&#8217;t have the final word!&#8221;. I couldn&#8217;t agree more. But today&#8217;s faithbite isn&#8217;t about death, it&#8217;s about life. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We all know that no one is perfect. I only knew Becky through church and her service there but I can tell you this, she was always friendly, always had a smile, and gave great hugs. She remembered peoples names, asked how you were <g class=\"gr_ gr_9 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim Punctuation only-del replaceWithoutSep\" id=\"9\" data-gr-id=\"9\">doing,<\/g> and went out of her way to say hi. As someone who does sound regularly, which is in our balcony, she would often come up just to give me a hug and see how things were going. I wish I knew her better, but from what I know she was an awesome loving person. We could all be a little more like Becky. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5>Scripture<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul><li> Greet one another with a holy kiss. All the churches of Christ greet you. &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/111\/rom.16.16\" class=\"verseLink\">Romans 16:16<\/a><\/li><li> Do not rebuke an older man but encourage him as you would a father,\u00a0younger men as brothers,\u00a0older women as mothers, younger women as sisters, in all purity. &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/111\/1ti.5.1-2\" class=\"verseLink\">1 Timothy 5:1-2<\/a><\/li><li>A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By <g class=\"gr_ gr_13 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim Punctuation only-ins replaceWithoutSep\" id=\"13\" data-gr-id=\"13\">this<\/g> all people will know that you are my <g class=\"gr_ gr_14 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim Punctuation only-del replaceWithoutSep\" id=\"14\" data-gr-id=\"14\">disciples,<\/g> if you have <g class=\"gr_ gr_12 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim Grammar only-ins doubleReplace replaceWithoutSep\" id=\"12\" data-gr-id=\"12\">love<\/g> for one another.\u201d &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/my.bible.com\/111\/jhn.13.34-35\" class=\"verseLink\">John 13:34-35<\/a><\/li><li><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5>Reflection<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>God is pretty clear on how we should interact with each other. We should treat each others as brothers and sisters. We should love one another. This includes showing affection when done in purity. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Becky was a person who showed her affection to everyone and anyone. Her church was her family. In my life I try to emulate that with touching, hugging, and showing God&#8217;s love in a physical form. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It&#8217;s extremely difficult to be angry with someone when you are in physical contact with them. It&#8217;s hard to not care about someone when they check in on your well being. Life is much fuller when someone cares about you enough to check in on you, give you a hug, and see how you are doing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5>Charge<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Be open with your affection. Give the gift of touch to those who need it and want it. Try to check in on others as you would want them to check in on you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5>Prayer<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Lord, be with Becky and her family. Welcome Becky to your home. Give strength to all those who are sadden by her passing. Help us to remember that you have the final answer to death. You give us strength. You also give us the ability to show your love through our affection and compassion for others.
