No words
June 1 – No Words
3:153 – No Words

#faithbites #faithjourney words

I have no words today. Between COVID-19, race riots, politics, and everything going on, I am empty. I have taken a break from social media as it’s been too much. For me, I pray. I hope that all of you are healthy, safe, and can listen. Be kind to one another and know that everyone has baggage, troubles, and issues. Don’t assume you know how their lives are going or why they are doing what they are doing.

Just love like Jesus loved us.

Scripture

Matthew 6:9-15 – Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever. Amen.

Reflection

Tonight, when you have no words, turn to the Lord’s prayer. It isn’t the only way to pray, but when you have no words, this covers all. I want to be a one who shows Jesus’s love rather than my own. I don’t want to forget something to say or say the wrong things.

For tonight, we just have the Lord’s prayer. Here is a website if you are interested in the breakdown of the prayer (http://faithlutherankw.com/wordpress/?page_id=14).

As we close, know that you are loved by Jesus, and God has this. Turn it to him.

Challenge

Pray. Just pray for someone. They don’t even have to be someone you know. Let them know you love them and care for them. Let God shine through you.

Prayer

Father God, your country feels like it’s on fire. You world is twisting and turning. We need you, we love you, and we beseech you. Give us your love, your patience, and your humility as we work together to find solutions to this crazy time. Be with the first responders, protesters, and victims. Help them to know you are with them. We never want you to leave us and need you more than ever. In your wonderful name, Amen.
