#faithbites #faithjourney afraid
Today was a rough day. Worst anxiety in a couple of years. Just wanted to crawl into a ball. I prayed a lot and took a lot of deep breaths. Not great, had to double check everything and breath through simple things like emptying the dishwasher. Ugh.
The crazy thing is when anxiety goes crazy, it feels like being afraid. But instead of being afraid of a specific thing, your afraid of nothing. If you were afraid of everything you could call out specific things. Being afraid of nothing, means you have this fear that something is going on and you have no control.
On the flip side, you can say, that you are scared of nothing. Meaning that there isny anything that frightens you. This is how I feel when anxiety isnt bad. I know that God is on my side, and I shouldn’t be afraid. Anxiety takes that control away.
When you are afraid or out of control, have faith.
God has been crystal clear with us. He is our refuge and strength. He has overcome the world. Turn it over to him.
Some days are easier than others to do so. Today, even though I’m afraid of nothing and its closing in on me, he is there. It may close in but won’t crush me.
Having faith when things are going well, is easy. Having faith when the world is losing in on you, is much harder. I chose to have faith and no be afraid.
Just know you are loved, never alone, and God is your strength and refuge. If you feel the world is crashing in on you, call out. I am there for you. Reach out and I will help you. God works through his people.
Lord, many of your people, myself included, are hurting. Anxiety, fear, depression, and hardships are consuming your people. We know you are always there. We pray for you to make your presence known. Give us healing, comfort, and your peace. Help us to know we are never alone, and when times are hard, you have people ready to step up and help us. Thank you for your love presence, and power. In your name, Amen.
