Oct 15 – Thank You
2:288 – Thank You

#faithbites #faithjourney #redletterchallenge Thank

In Christianity, some topics come up over and over again. Faith, God, salvation, praise, being, giving, serving, giving, going, giving thanks, forgiveness, and being a child of God. Why do these come up in faith and in #faithbites? It’s the core of our faith.

Today, again, I want to talk about the power of saying “Thank You“. Today, again, after doing work for people, I wasn’t given a simple thank you, only criticism. While feedback is needed, telling someone you appreciate them and thank them for going above and beyond is part of being a Good Human. It takes all of two seconds to say, thanks so much, I appreciate it. Then talk about changes you may want to see.

We give thanks to our heavenly father for blessing us, let’s not forget our fellow humans who we owe thanks.

Scripture
  • I do not cease to give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers. – Ephesians 1:!6
  • I thank my God in all my remembrance of you. – Philippians 1:3
  • May the Lord, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to take refuge, reward you fully for what you have done. – Ruth 2:12
Reflection

Our life is an arduous journey and one we are not to take alone. Through our prayers, through our remembrances, through His Grace, we are thankful for those who serve us, help us, and make life worth living.

I’m not looking for a ticker-tape parade, raises, awards, or anything. Just a “Hey, by the way, thanks.” So simple, but so meaningful.

Challenge

Give thanks for everything you have. Someone holds the door for you, thank you. Someone responds to an email you were waiting for, say thank you. No matter what it is, even if you think the “thank you”, won’t do anything, do it. It will change lives.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank you for what you do in my life. You give us grace, salvation, forgiveness, and everything we have. Remind us how good it is to thank and praise others. You are our example of how to live and how to express our gratitude. Don’t let us think thanks is something that can be forgotten. It is important. Help us to do this always. In your name, Amen.
