#faithbites #faithjourney valuable
I’ve had a few events lately where I have felt in certain settings that I am not valuable. It’s not like someone said I wasn’t valuable, their actions spoke lousee. From them not being inclusive, not soliciting input, and not seeing if I was up for an opportunity to, they showed how not valuable I was. Part of me wonders if they realized the message they were sending while the other part tried not to dwell on if they did.
We are more valuable than we think. If we aren’t valued where we work, live, and/or play, maybe God is sending us a message.
God values us. He made us in his image to do wonderful things. Let’s focus on his assessment of us and not the assessment of the world.
The Glory of the Lord is upon You. Out of all peoples, you will be treasured. Child of God.
These aren’t empty phrases or platitudes. This is the word of God, our father, proclaiming we have value.
It’s easy to get upset when we fee slighted and not valued, especially when we try to have ownership over something.
If God values us, then what does matter what man says? Easier said than done. We want human acceptance. If we trust in the Lord and his promises, he will show us our true value.
Trust in the Lord. He will show you your value. Jesus will provide you answers on if it’s time to make changes in your life. He will out new opportunities in your path, where’s you can feel valuable here on Earth.
Lord, we long to be accepted and valued for our knowledge, skills, and abilities. When we are overlooked it stings. Help us to know, we are your valuable possession. Tune our ears to you and how you want us to live our lives. Put people and opportunities in our lives, where we can feel valued and appreciated. In your name, Amen.
