May 21 – Knowing God Knows Helps, But I Want To Know Too
2:141 – Knowing God Knows Helps, But I want to Know Too.

#faithbites #faithjourney know

Today, I am frustrated. I’m in pain from kidney stones, behind at work, behind at home, and the kids aren’t listening well. I’m angry and letting it get the better of me.

My family has forgiven me as forgiveness is big in our house. If it isn’t in your house, start a routine of it. It’s very helpful

I know that God has a plan for me but it’s like waiting for the next books in your favorite series to be released after you’ve waited eight years since the last one. God always answers, just not necessarily when and how you want.

Being frustrated and angry will pass. I will be forgiven and continue to move on. It’s just these lower moments or in between times when we all struggle.

Scripture

The Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him.Lamentations 3:25

Reflection

You may be wondering if I forgot to add more scripture, as I usually share two to four verses. No mistake here, just one verse. God knows our struggles. He knows that we have to have faith, be patience, and he will take care of us.

It’s hard to be patient. It’s difficult to just wait for the bad times to go away. But if we look at scripture, God always help the faithful, especially the underdogs, come up on top.

So I’m Frustrated and in Dr. Suess’s waiting place, but I know Jesus is here with me, working on me for good things.

Charge

Tonight think about how you act during the waiting time. How do you treat others? Try to be patient. Pray. Take time to think about why God is having you wait. Then listen and wait. No action needed. Sometimes stillness is the hardest thing to do.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, help all of us who are in the waiting place. Many of us are struggling with pain, stress, anxiety, and unknown. We know you have a plan but sometimes we want it know. Give us your strength and patience to see how it ends. In your name, Amen.
