#faithbites #faithbites risen
Today is Easter Sunday. The day when we belief that Jesus rose from the dead. The tomb was empty and promises fufiled.
If He didn’t rise again, then all his promises and the entire story of the Bible would be false. But we believe he has risen.
I chose to believe as I see the power of Christ through the faith of my children. When I asked my youngest why we celebrate Easter, she said very empathically “God IS ALIVE TODAY”. I see how far my life has come since believing in Jesus. There are too many “coincidences” and “how did that happen” moment for Jesus to not be real. I am blessed to know him and I hope that all feel his love, forgiveness, and eternal salvation.
For the longest time, I was afraid to die. Afraid of the darkness, the unknowing, and the undone. Now, I am not afraid. Sure, I don’t want to die as I have things on this Earth I believe God wants me to do, but I am not afraid. I will be reunited with those who have passed before me and be with my Lord.
I know that I will be raised by his power as I am forgiven, made clean, and connected to God forever.
It’s hard in our day to day to remember that even though we are broken, dirty, and sinful, we are clean to God because of Jesus.
We celebrate the wonders of Easter, but what about tomorrow and the next day? Try to remember how you feel knowing that Christ is Risen. Take that feeling with you everyday. Feel the relief of knowing because you believe, because God loved you so much he sent his son to die for you, that you are saved
Almoght Creator, Lord of the Universe, thank you for your son Jesus. Thank you for giving him the power to bridge us to you. Thank you for raising him from dead and saving all of us. Let His peace throw through all of us. In your gracious name, Amen.
