February 5 – Healing is Needed
2:36 – Healing is Needed

#faithbites #faithjourmey healing

Today was surgery day a very long day of no food and drink as I got the times mixed up. But the surgery is done, it was much less invasive than he planned and now I’m home for healing

Today was the state of the Union Address day, a very long session of political wounds and dagger s being cast. It is now time for healing.

We all experience pain. Physical pain, emotional pain, and spiritual pain. It doesn’t matter if your team won, there are still wounds. It doesn’t matter if your surgery was a success, you still have wounds and need healing.

We need to forgive each other. We need the Lord’s tender hands to heal all of our wounds. The ones we don’t see are many times much worse than the physical ones.

Scripture
  • “Heal me, O Lord, and I will be healed; save me and I will be saved, for you are the one I praise.” ~ Jeremiah 17:14
  • “Worship the LORD your God, and his blessing will be on your food and water. I will take away sickness from among you…” Exodus 23:25
  • “He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” ~ Revelations 21:4
Reflection

We are all in pain and need healing. I prayed last night before surgery at dinner I prayed on the table as the gas took me to lala land. So many of my friends and family prayed for me. And so far, I’m am doing well. I know day 3 is the worst day, but I know I am covered

Now, let’s pray for those who have wounds we can not see. Those judgements that taint their outlook on life. Let our Lord’s hands comfort them and provide the healing the desperately need

Charge

Are you injured? Do you need spiritual, physical, or mental healing? If so, pray to the Lord. Share your story with others so they may pray and help you. If you see others in pain, pray for them. We were in this together.

Prayer

Lord, thank you for your healing hands. Thank you for being with the nurses, doctors, technicians, and support during my surgery. Thank you for my wife and all my friends who have taken care of me and my family. Lord, continue to provide healing to me and all those who need it in it’s various forms. We know we only need to ask for it and you will provide it. Help us all to heal and forgive. In your heavenly name, Amen.
