January 5 – Part 2 – Control: God’s Path Vs Our Own

Tonight’s devotional (yes two in one day, had to catch up from yesterday) really got me. It is about control and following our path instead of God’s path for us. We want the fastest shot but miss what God has in mind for us. I certainly shared my battles with anxiety with all of you before. Having control is the only thing that makes it easier (besides meds and therapy) when things go off course, or not as I planned, that is when it is at it’s worst. But maybe, I need to let it go just a bit and listen to Him.

Your path led through the sea, your way through the mighty waters, though your footprints were not seen.
You led your people like a flock by the hand of Moses and Aaron.
Psalm 77:19-20

“I wonder how often we get stuck in the same ruts because of our unwillingness to trust God enough to walk into the unknown. How often does our need to control rob us of delights that God desires us to experience?.” YouVersion Curiosity of Faith.
