Small Town Big Heart

Hi Everyone,

I hope that you’re all doing well. Yesterday was the first big fundraiser for Gillian’s Kidney Campaign. It was a free-will spaghetti dinner. We served over 300 people. We cooked 75lbs of spaghetti, 40 loaves of bread, and 90lbs of hamburger, not to mention the hundreds of deserts and salads that were donated. It was such a good time. We raised close to 10,000 in one day. I can’t believe that a community of about 600 people were able to raise that much money. Thanks so much to everyone for everything. If you want to see all the details and how we are doing on Gillian’s Campaign, take a look at her website.

Halloween

It's The Great Pumpkin Katie Joe

Hi Everybody,

First of all..BOO! It’s that time of the year again. When a chill enters the air (well there is supposed to be a chill in the air but it’s 78 degrees. We don’t tell Al Gore), the leaves begin to change, and all sorts of scary things come across the planet. Well if you haven’t guessed, I’m talking about fall and Halloween. Last ngiht the extended family went to Scoville Zoo in Decatur for their annual Boo at the Zoo. Everyone dresses up in Halloween costumes, they have little stations that give out candy, and a scary train ride. We took Katie and Gilly and it was so much fun. Check out the pictures from the right here. The best station, as always is the last one, is one that hands out homemade caramel apples. Yum Yum….

So to all you little demons out there. Have a Happy Halloween.
